Remix 7horse from Grammy Nominated Wolf of Wall Street Soundtrack and WIN In-Ear Monitors

The 57th Grammy Awards are coming up on Sunday, February 8th. Millions of viewers tune in from around the world to watch acceptance speeches and performances from some of the most relevant musicians and composers. This year, The Wolf Of Wallstreet soundtrack is nominated for best compilation soundtrack for visual media. The movie features a compelling performance from Leonardo DiCaprio, and is based on the true story of corrupt Wall Street stock broker, Jordan Belfort.

One of the songs included on this soundtrack is from a band called 7horse. This duo had been writing music together for many years when one day, they got a call from a representative of Martin Scorsese who was interested in using their song,”Meth Lab Zoso Sticker” in the film. Now, the band is allowing you to check out their stems for the song on Splice so you can learn how the song was produced and create your own version. Just sign up for a free Splice account and check out the project. Release your project on Splice and submit your remix by 6pm EST on Monday, March 9th for a chance to win one of the prizes below. The band will pick their favorite remixes and the winners will be contacted via email by March 16th, 2015.

To enter:
1) Sign up for Splice and “splice” the project below.
2) Create a remix of the project using at least 1 of the audio stems provided.
3) Release your project publicly on Splice
4) Email an .mp3 attachment of your remix to [email protected] with “7horse Remix contest” in the subject line.

The 7Horse song Meth Lab Zoso is on the Wolf Of Wall Street’s Grammy nominated soundtrack. To help celebrate we are doing a remix contest. The album version is still getting love and the youtube video is over 650k views and growing. But we would love a new spin on the track, so we’re reaching out to the Splice community to for a remix . All genre’s welcomed!

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
  • All remixes must be in the following file formats: MP3, AIFF, WAV.
  • Participants must already have Ableton Live 8+ software installed on their computer.
  • The use of un-cleared samples will be disqualified. An un-cleared sample is a musical work, loop or sample that is copyrighted. Participants are free to use royalty-free loops, the song stems, samples, and/or sounds the participant has originally created.
  • All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record, remix, or remix parts are prohibited. Entrants shall not use the stems in any manner or for any purpose other than for entering contest.
  • Entrants acknowledge that Splice has no obligation to use or post any remixes. By submitting a remix, entrants warrant and represent that: (a) the remix is entrant’s original work, (b) the remixes has not been previously published, (c) the remix has not previously received awards, (d) the remix does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity; (e) Entrant has obtained permission from any person whose name or voice or performance is used in the remix; and (f) exploitation, use, display or performance of the remix via any form of media, will not infringe the rights of any third parties. Entrants shall indemnify and hold harmless, Splice and contest affiliates from any claims contrary to or in violation of these warranties and representations.
SELECTION OF WINNERS:
Designated appointees will select the winner and shall have no obligations, financial or otherwise, to the winners, except for those explicitly set forth in these official rules.

By entering this contest, each entrant agrees: (i) that Splice has the right to use the entrant’s remixes and entrant’s name and likeness in any and all media in connection with promotion, publicity, marketing and advertising for and by contest parties, and in connection with this contest or other promotions by Splice as Splice sees fit, without any further notification or compensation to or of the entrant; (ii) that Splice shall have no obligation (express or implied) to use any remixes in any manner and entrants shall not be entitled to any damages or other relief by reason of Splice use or non-use of remixes; (iii) to be bound by these official rules; (iv) that entrants may be contacted by Splice via email regarding this contest; (v) to indemnify and hold Splice harmless from any and all claims, demands, causes of action and judgments (including attorney’s fees, court costs and expert’s fees) arising out of or relating to any breach by entrant of the terms and conditions of these rules, including any representations and warranties made herein.
